The Biker has been designed to be just the right size for the back of a motorbike and with the unique Khyam Rapidex™ Quick Erect System, whereby all poles remain sewn into the flysheet and can simply be clicked into place in a matter of seconds. For 2018 we have introduced a brand new colourway and upgraded the specification adding panoramic front porch windows with internal privacy curtains.

The Biker’s pitching and striking take a matter of minutes so you know that you are free to tour with ease. The tried and tested Rapidex™ System uses strong, solid fibreglass poles and durable, hard wearing nylon auto joints. Due to these facts, this 3-man tent is ideal for short and long motorbiking tours, festivals, and any occasion where you need a reliable tent that can be pitched within 30 seconds!

The extended front porch provides a plenty of storage space, ideal for rucksacks and helmets!

The detachable inner-tent is created using breathable polyester to allow for a comfortable atmosphere throughout the night, preventing condensation forming. The inner-tent has a waterproof sewn-in groundsheet for added protection against those pesky insects, with ample room for 3 adults. A brilliant feature on the inner-tent is the pockets for storage of your items.

Now for the technical element – the Biker benefits from using the Khyam commissioned WeatherWeave Pro Flysheet with taped seams, and additional polyurethane coating ensures excellent hydrostatic performance.

Proven quality but bulky

Owned the original (green with yellow details, no windows) tent for over 5 years and still using it every year whilst motor touring on a Versys 650. The QE system is a doddle to erect, has lasted through all conditions and has been a trusted choice for every moto-camping tour I've done. I would highly recommend the additional footprint to allow you to use the porch as a proper drying area in wet conditions. I also recommend the extra Stormforce guy ropes as the tent is quite large and suffers in windy Scottish conditions. Once pegged down properly with the footprint in place you have a weather proof shelter for days at a time. The materials and construction have proven their longevity to me. The only repairs I have had to do have been a patch repair on the main sleeping tub when I pitched it on a sharp root without the footprint and I have just (2019 - 5 years old) broken a tent pole whilst erecting the tent in stormy Cornish weather. Downsides are weight, pack size and the process of packing away. The tent can capture air when folding down so it can be a struggle to compact it enough to get into the tent bag. I alleviate this by keeping the sleeping pod main door unzipped but leaving the insect net screen zipped up, as this lets the air out but still protect from insects, leaves etc. Very highly recommended.

Khyam Biker Tent

Good tent overhaul. Easy to un pack and put up. Can be a problem putting down and re bagging tent again. Would be a lot easy to pack and roll up if did not have the large front window in the door, (Only my thoughts.) two front side windows let enough light in the porch. But still a nice Biker Tent.
