FANTASTIC FISHING SPOTS

Passionate about camping and fishing? We believe these two activities go hand in hand; put the two together and you’ve got yourself a wonderful weekend! When out camping there are an abundance of finishing options, whether that means fishing in the sea, a pond or a river. We’ve put together some of our favourite camping locations for a spot of fishing, so sit down and take a read for some inspiration! 

Woodland Waters
Just an hour away from Nottingham you’ll find Woodland Waters; a haven for both fishing and camping! They offer camping with amazing views over a 14-acre specimen lake and amazing facilities including electric pitches and laundry. There are numerous picnic areas and a children’s play area, not to mention various woodland paths throughout the site. At Woodland Waters you’ll find an incredible 4 lakes, in which you can catch everything from pike to perch! You can camp here for the entire time you stay at Woodlands and they even offer the option of evening fishing. After a day’s fishing, walking or simply relaxing, you can take a stroll around the lakes as the sun sets and amble towards the Lakeview Restaurant for fine dining and an excellent range of beers and wines.

Loch Ness Shores
Aaah, the famous Loch Ness! Famous for the breathtaking views and a certain Loch Ness Monster… but did you know you can camp and fish here too? The aptly-named Loch Ness Shores Club campsite is located on the quieter south shore near the village of Foyers. This award winning 99 pitch, all-year-round campsite enjoys panoramic views around Loch Ness to the mountains beyond and is the perfect base for exploring the area’s historic sites like the magnificent Urquhart Castle. The site itself has excellent eco credentials, including using innovative green technologies to heat and light the top-notch facilities which include an amenity block with under floor heating and home from home shower rooms, an on-site shop and wi-fi. In terms of fishing, you’ll be able to catch Brown Trout, Salmon or Sea Trout. You’ll need a license for catching salmon, day prices start at £30.00.

Rhandirmwyn
On the banks of the Afon Tywi near Towy Forest and the Llyn Brianne reservoir you’ll find Rhandirmwyn. This lovely campsite is set in 11 acres of forest and has superb views from all of the pitches. The campsite is situated on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, which is a haven for walkers and is home to some of Britain’s rarest wildlife and plants. You’ll be sure to enjoy the peace and quiet of the hills and valleys of Wales. Camping facilities include showers, Wi-Fi, a children's play area and a small shop. Costs for fishing here start at £10.00 a day, and you’ll be able to catch fish such as Salmon, Sea Trout and Trout.

Veryan
Looking for somewhere you can catch Carp, Roach and Tench within beautiful surroundings? If so, Veryan might just be for you! You’ll find Veryan on the Roseland Peninsula, on the Cornish Riviera - an area renowned for being both picturesque and unspoiled with amazing views. You have the choice of a range of local attractions to explore which include Falmouth, Truro, the Eden Project, little fishing villages and many secret coves! The campsite itself offers a lovely lake that is perfect for sitting back and enjoying a day of fishing. Facilities include toilets and showers, electric hook-up, children's play area and club site Wi-Fi.
